Don't be a hater
“Don’t be a hater” is term that I first came across in the context of political discourse. Or more precisely, lack of political discourse. It seems to be a term mostly (but not exclusively) used by those on the political right when they run into an impasse in an argument. Any further criticism of the position of your opposite is “hating.” End of debate. Unless you want to be a hater.
Or, unless your opponent is intellectually flabby. Which is most likely the case.
