The Big Easy
I’ve spent the last week in New Orleans.
It’s a beautiful, tragic, lively, sad and probably misunderstood city.
When I passed by the Superdome, I could not help but think of the refugees from Katrina staying days on end in unspeakable conditions. At my event at the Convention Center, other memories flooded back. And when I walked by the St. Louis Cathedral, I could only think about the staged show that WPE Bush put on to profess his love of the city, and then helicopter out.
Still, with the ghosts and the crazy tourists on Bourbon street, and the music coming from every doorway, I loved it.
